Reporting to the Production Engineering Team leader, working as a part of NPI Production Engineering team, you will be responsible new product introduction along with reviewing processes and projects already established within the business to ensure they continue to run both efficiently and with minimum down time. Additional responsibilities include design collaboration, process planning / justification, testing procedures, machinery / capability planning, FMEA’s, commercial liaison, work / time study and VA Engineering.

This is an ideal opportunity for a hands-on HNC qualified (or equivalent) Production Engineer to move to a new challenge in which they will be able to utilise their NPI and project / engineering management skills. You will be from a metal processing background, with a broad range of process experience (Presswork, Fabrication, Machining, Plastics, Assembly, Coatings etc) and have a very strong base engineering skill set. You will also be required to manage multiple projects whilst being able to understand relevant industry standards and procedures.

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Workshop Engineering Manager will be responsible for a small team of Machinists, Welders, Service Engineers and Sales Engineers, along with both the Engineering and Production Facilities of a small yet successful company. You will also be required to be hands-on whenever required, leading the team from the front, along with visiting customers, advising Engineers and assisting where possible with the growth of the company, whilst having budgetary responsibility.

Applicants will be time served Mechanical Fitters / Engineers (or equivalent) and have an excellent skill-set covering Welding, Machining, Assembly, Fabrication, Design, Value Engineering and of course Supervision / Management. It is also essential that any applicants are excellent communicators, leaders and not afraid to jump “on the tools” but also step back and manage the business when required.
