Current requirement for an experienced APQP Engineer with experience of Automotive Tier one To support future projects in the UK Engineering Department of a successful company who supplies directly to most of the OEM businesses.
The main objectives of the role are:
- Support of design and releasing activity to suppliers
- Agreeing critical dimensions and part requirements including capability of parts
- Upon completion, to ensure timely delivery of new parts from suppliers
- Support project core team from concept design to full post PSW
- To liase with designers and identify key component requirements
- Ensure all prints are fit for manufacture at supplier and Webasto Roof Systems
- Liase with customers and suppliers during prototype and pre serial stages
- Sign off supplier capability and components
- Ensure parts are supported into serial Webasto Roof Systems production
- Develop Gauge plans for final assembly (Control Plans)
- Ensure parts meet customer requirements through pre-production builds to full PPAP PPAP
- Review and approval of supplied parts Prepare PPAP for Customer submission
- Qualifications: HNC
