Reporting to the Technical Manager, the CADCAM Programmer to assist in the manufacture of injection mould tools . Role and Responsibilities includes accurately reading and the interpret engineering drawings. Produce CNC programs to machine products, on-time and within budget based on the project plan. Assist in the development of new and existing manufacturing processes and procedures to optimise performance. Cost cutting is a major objective. Use of other tool room machines and equipment when required
The Ideal candidate will have An engineering background, preferably within the tool making industry Minimum 2 year’s experience of cad cam software. Experience of performing cost cutting exercises.
• A strong understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel software
• Good communication skills
• Flexible attitude and ability to change shifts when required
• Ability to adapt to new technology
• Ability to work effectively within a team and train others effectively
• Organised and able to work to timetables and deadlines.
Salary : Circa £28,000 per annum
