The CNC Setter / Programmer will be responsible for setting and programming a range of conventional machinery and multi axis CNC machining centres, working to tight tolerances and supervising a small dedicated team within a busy, precision, sub-contract manufacturing environment, machining cast materials, along with steel and aluminium.
The CNC Setter / Programmer will also be responsible for tool selection, program management, CMM inspection and Health & safety.
It is essential that all candidates have experience of programming multi axis machining centres and an understanding of Fanuc / Mazatrol control systems.
The CNC Setter / Programmer will also have conventional machining skills with a strong work ethic, an ability to work on their own initiative, and a sound understanding of customer priorities.
The CNC Setter / Programmer will also be an effective problem solver and be used to continuous improvement culture within a sub-contract, precision machining environment.
Salary : Circa £25,000 + overtime, depending on skills and ability
