This company has firmly established itself as a leading innovator and designer of modern stylish ergonomic seating and desking solutions and it‘s widely accepted that some of this their designs are now recognised as icons of furniture design. A multi billion revenue, thousands of employees worldwide and loads of room for progression make for a genuine career move. For strategic reasons they are now looking to appoint a Dealer Market Manager for their German based dealer network. Through territory focused activity, lead generation and frequent visits to dealers, the job is to develop interest and create buying potential for your product portfolio. This is both in partnership with a number of dealers and also independently. You’ll also take ownership and be accountable for the opportunity until point of order and provide accurate forecasting information in a timely manner and other useful market information.  

Specific Responsibilities

  • Strong focus on identifying and creating sales opportunities for your brand portfolio and dealers in the territory.
  • Meet and exceed agreed individual volume targets.
  • Through frequent and regular visits build meaningful and productive relationships with all dealers in your territory.
  • Achieve the key activity goals, particularly the number of monthly dealer and client meetings.
  • Ensure focus remains on new business by passing non sales related activity to other colleagues, in particular the DSR team.
  • Involve specialist company sales resources where relevant against specific opportunities. These would include US colleagues, ISBG or the A&D team.
  • Own the day to day relationship and be the prime commercial contact of choice with designated dealers at all levels.
  • Gain an understanding of the furniture market, all relevant activity and to build relationships with key influencers in a territory.
  • Provide accurate and timely reports to the Regional Sales Managers.

  Skills and Experience

  • 2 years of proven business development experience in the Furniture sector. Bags of drive, determination and a winning attitude.
  • Faultless command of the German language
  • Living in Germany (or happy to relocate
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Must be able to communicate succinctly and fluently and in a compelling manner in both verbal and in written forms.
  • Must demonstrate high levels of drive and energy and be self sufficient.
  • Enjoy working well in a team as well as an individual.
  • Flexible to work long hours when required and prepared to make regular early starts.
  • You’ll be numerate in the preparation of quotations and forecast information.
  • Methodical, hard working, ambitious and energetic.
  • Ability to handle objections and minimise confrontation.
  • Articulate and diplomatic.
  • Honest and with high levels of integrity.
