Reporting into the Technical Manager the Senior Garment Technician will be required to assist the manager to help support the design development and raw material areas including monitoring supplier performance, testing, sizing, grading, fit, and quality control.
• Ensure samples are measured and comments assessed prior to each fit meeting as well in assisting in the documentation & write up of technical information to be sent onto suppliers
• Follow up with the suppliers to ensure understand performance measurables and talk through critical issues as they arise.
• Ensure timely action of the critical path; any problematic issues should be highlighted as early as possible and discussed with the relevant department for a quick resolve
• Establish and maintain a strong supplier relationship & continuously update them on any developments
• Attend factory visits through the product cycle to help finalise bulk production prior to release
The ideal Senior Garment Technician will have gained there experience within a leading fashion brand, or luxury clothing development manufacturer.
Salary; Circa £25,000 – £32,000 dependant on skills and experience
