Reporting directly to the Plant Director, The Human Resources Officer is responsible for the management of all HR, Recruitment, Training & Payroll functions, ensuring the business complies with employment legislation and best practice. Specific areas of responsibilities will include advising line management on HR, IR & training issues, recruitment and appraisals and disciplinary issues where necessary.
This role offers a fantastic promotional opportunity for the right individual. Due to the nature of the business and anticipated growth, it is hoped that the successful Human Resources Officer will develop the role into that of Human Resources Manager following a suitable and successful tenure.
• Liaise with ‘Head of Departments’ and Line Managers for HR documentation and procedures
• Manage and suggest relevant workforce training and development programs
• Coordination and implementation of employee induction programs
• Monitor performance review, disciplinary procedures.
Responsible for the management, analysis and reporting of;
• Recruitment efficiency & lead time
• Training & development efficiency
• Absenteeism
The ideal Human Resources Officer will be IPD qualified (or be working towards it), having gained at least two years Human Resources / Personnel experience. The HR Officer / Manager will have a proven track record of dealing with recruitment, training , development and employee relations along with a ‘proactive’ and ‘motivational’ attitude to lead and encourage employees.
• Project management and the ability to manage own workloads
• Good relationship builder, able to liaise confidentially and professionally between management, employee representation and employees.
The proactive HR professional will be able to “hit the ground running” in a demanding, faced paced, manufacturing environment.
Salary : Circa £30,000 – £32,000 dependant on skills & ability
