Key Account Manager
Objectives
• To achieve the agreed sales/account objectives as defined annually by the Sales Director.
• To identify, develop and commercialise new business typically via multiplication of    successful existing or newly developed applications at existing (and new) accounts.
Authorities
• Directs and supervises sales to meet or exceed volume, pricing and margin goals.
• Development of an account plan to partner with current and future customers for further business development to obtain sustainable, profitable growth.
• Identify decision makers in the chain.
• Network building within the industry.

The Role

• Reports to the Sales Director.
• Solely responsible for the coverage of the Midlands region.
• Account management of a portfolio of key clients, developing an understanding of customer base with respect to business drivers and decision making structures.
• Development of new markets with new products.
• Support new product introduction, planning and management.
• Develop and present relevant business proposals.
• Sales of a range of polymer raw materials.
• Regularly evaluating performance against objectives.
The Candidate

• Demonstrable track record of sales achievement within or related to polymer raw materials.
• Proven record of new business development as well as account management.
• Experience of developing business by working with and through both technical and commercial departments in organisations.
• Ability to develop and implement an effective business plan that is designed to achieve sales goals.
• Analytical with good judgement, business sense and problem solving skills.
• A strong negotiator able to identify customers’ needs and be persuasive when      presenting ideas.
• Ability to establish priorities and initiate problem solving techniques.
• Proven leadership skills with the capability to manage multiple tasks.
• Demonstrate strong contract negotiation, relationship building skills and the ability to work on an independent basis as well as part of a close knit team.
• Creative with entrepreneurial experience.
• Relation builder with good social and networking skills
• Structured worker with good time management and project management ability.
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Customer focussed.
• Strong business acumen with results orientation.
