Reporting to the production manager, the maintenance engineer / manager will be required to carry out multi-skilled mechanical and electrical engineering tasks to ensure the maintenance, servicing and repair of plant and facilities for the efficient working of this plastics factory
Main Duties:
• Maintenance, repair and servicing of machinery and equipment
• Maintenance, repair and servicing of electrical equipment and systems
• Installation of electrical and mechanical equipment and facilities
• Maintenance, repair, servicing and installation of water and drainage systems
• Operation of Forklift Trucks, where the appropriate certification is held
• Order the required parts and equipment .
• To report problems, defects or safety issues to The Maintenance/Technical Manager.
• To carry out any work required on site maintenance.
• To Manage projects of significant technical importance to the operation.
• Interacts with other departments and advises them on new improvements.
• To cover call outs.
• To ensure high standards of Housekeeping
• To ensure that Company Health and Safety requirements are complied with
• To advise of any additional training needs.
• Other duties as assigned
Ideally the right candidate will be a skilled maintenance engineer from a plastic processing plant
Salary : Circa : £30,000 – £35,000 annum depending on experience
