Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenant Fitter will be working as part of the maintenance team to provide an efficient and effective maintenance and engineering support service to the predominately production areas of plant all the while ensuring that all areas of the plant are in sound working order. The job encompasses all aspects of general mechanical engineering work, including basic electrical work, which is conducted in a flexible and pro-active manner to ensure that key efficiencies, cost, quality and customer service levels of the company are met. There is also a requirement to participate in the current ‘On Call’ system.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced multi-skilled engineer You will ideally have experience from within a professional manufacturing environment (ideally with knowledge of plastics processing) and be time a served engineer or posses a relevant engineering qualification. A 17th Edition qualification would be a distinct advantage along with excellent communication and organisational skills
Salary : Circa £ 25,000 + benefits depending on skills and ability
