Mechanical Design Engineer The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for taking ownership of projects through the design process, from concept stage through to production. The Mechanical Design Engineer will be required to design products and components (new and existing), capable of satisfying specifications whilst being aware of DFMEA (process, materials, purpose and cost) and provide technical advice to customers, internal departments and suppliers alike to provide a timely, functional and suitable Design solution.
Candidates should have a sound knowledge of Engineering, covering all design aspects and be expected to have the ability to drive a 3D CAD package to produce complex design assemblies, along with strong liaison and project management skills coupled with the ability to solve problems.
A high proficiency with any 3D CAD package is acceptable.
Salary: £35,000 – 40,000 depending upon experience + benefits.
