Reporting to the production Manager, the Mould Shop Supervisor will be responsibilities of this role will involve monitoring and driving improvements on departmental KPIs to include quality, productivity, on time delivery, and health and safety, the management, motivation and development of a team of 10-20 semi-skilled production staff, and significant involvement in practical problem solving and Lean Manufacturing projects, involving 5S, 8 Wastes, OEE, visual management and standard work.
Ideally the right candidate will be an experience a shift manager /supervisor within a fast paced, manufacturing environment (Automotive injection moulding background desirable)
* Formal managerial qualification such as ILM, CMS or NEBS would an advantage
* Broad knowledge and practical application of Lean and Continuous Improvement techniques such as 5S, SMED, TPM, OEE, Kaizen, Kanban, value stream mapping, standard work, visual management
* A tenacious and motivational man management style, strong influencing skills, ability to sell change and a passion for continuous improvement
* Must be willing to work a three shift system – 6-2, 2-10, 10-6 and the occasional weekend shift (paid as overtime)
Salary : Circa £28,000 depending on experience
