Reporting to the Production Manager the role of the Injection Mould Setter will be to set and process optimise the injection moulding machines to produce components in the correct volume and at the right quality as stipulated by engineering specification. As well as supervising a team of 6 on an afternoon shift. During times where no setting is required, you will be heavily involved in proactively seeking better and more efficient ways of producing parts. This may involve anything from changing the operator’s process, liasing with Maintenance to adjust machine cycles or seeking improvements in the raw material. The role will also be heavily involved in trailing of new tools and materials.
The successful candidate will be a BPTA trained Injection Mould Setter. You should be able to demonstrate a proactive approach to problem solving and an exceptional knowledge of the injection moulding process. Candidates should be conversant with a wide range of raw materials from ABS to Polycarb to Polyprop
Salary : Circa £25,000 depending on experience. Working a fixed 2-12:30 4 days a week
