Duties : Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Process Engineer will be involved in a range of activities including the introduction of new tooling and processes into production, conduct tool trials with new tooling, control and progress the installation of new equipment (relevant to the moulding facility) and manage suppliers to ensure any modifications and repair work carried out to both new and existing tooling is carried out to agreed timescales. The other main aspect of this role will be to work as part of the continuous improvement team, reacting to day-to-day production issues, looking at improving cycle times etc and working towards reducing scrap levels. This role will advise and report on progress with relevant internal customers and managers.
Skills and Experience: Ideally the right candidate will be an experienced individual capable of working in a pro-active capacity with regard to improving key areas such as scrap and process improvement/rectification. A high working knowledge and experience of PFMEA, Process Flow, Cycle time analysis etc is vital to this role as is relevant launch experience, CAD model sign off and feasibility knowledge.
Salary Circa £36,000 depending on role and location
