Reporting to the Production manager, the process engineer will be required
-To support the department with regard to Injection mould processes and tool trials.
-To assist the Mould Maintenance team as required to meet quality and scrap and waste reduction targets. – Data analysis, studies, reports and corrective actions to optimise injection mould processes.
-To take both a hands on and co ordination role in order to reduce scrap and waste.
- To support Mould trials both on site and at Tool makers as required to ensure smooth product launch.
- To highlight existing processes that have opportunity for optimisation and make improvements with regard to Cycle time and Quality.
- To support and to participate in CIP teams as a key technical resource in line with company strategy and processes.
Main responsibilities:
- To support the monitoring and development of the standard conditions and scrap reduction for Injection moulding process related items.
- Improving RFT and quality of production via controlled systems and timely responses.
- To assist in controlling conditions and deviation reports.
- To link in with the tooling and automation and maintenance departments to ensure process that are out of control or need improving are resolved.
- To train and share knowledge with the Technical group in order to optimise uptime and reduce waste.
- To support when dealing with suppliers and customers on Injection moulding related items.
- To develop and track key KPI`s for Injection moulding related items.
Ideally the right candidate will be a hands on process engineer and have demonstrable experience in injection moulding technology and all round understanding of large injection moulding machines and tooling. Desirable professional of technical qualification in principles in Injection Moulding Technology Salary : Circa £30 – 35,000 depending on experience
