Reporting to the Engineering Manager the Process Technician will be required to set and maintain process conditions on all production equipment associated with a manufacturing area. The post holder is responsible for product quality and through-put by the application of process control methods on the equipment within the area. The liaising with both direct and indirect staff through collaborative working, to resolve manufacturing issues that prevent achievement of performance standards. The promotion of the use of improvement techniques to drive the performance of the area towards world class standards and the develop, optimise and record process conditions to obtain high quality production at the lowest possible cost, to include lowering the risk to plant and machinery due to poor setting practices.
Ideally will have gained A technical understanding of the operation and process setting of moulding machines and of, tool setting, overhead cranes, the setting of robots and material conveyors, is essential to the job. Technical writing skills sufficient to produce process packs to agreed standards. Tools – The competent use of all hand and power tools necessary for task completion. Quality jigs and fixtures – Ability to operate, read and interpret key measuring equipment.
Salary : Circa £25 – £30,000 depending on experience
