Working as a part of a professional Production Engineering team, you will be responsible new product introduction along with reviewing processes and projects already established within the business to ensure they continue to run both efficiently and with minimum down time. Additional responsibilities include design collaboration, process planning / justification, testing procedures, machinery / capability planning, FMEA’s, commercial liaison, work / time study and VA Engineering. Another key aspect of the role will be identifying, justifying and implementing cost saving / continuous improvement plan
This is an ideal opportunity for a hands-on HNC qualified (or equivalent) Production Engineer to move to a new challenge in which they will be able to utilise their NPI, engineering and cost saving / continuous improvement skills (Kaizen, Six Sigma, Poke Yoke etc). You will be from a metal processing background, with a broad range of process experience (Presswork, Assembly, Welding, Machining etc) and have a strong base engineering skill set. You will also be required to manage multiple projects and have a proven track record in identifying and implementing cost saving activities.
Salary : Circa £25-30,000 depending on skills and ability
