Reporting to the Operations Director, the Production Manager will Champion the injection moulding and lean manufacturing strategy, define and implement continuous improvement whilst taking fill responsibility for managing the production team ensuring that customer orders are completed with outstanding quality, within budgeted costs and on time.
Role and responsibilities:
• Lead production team with the aim of continually improving quality and customer satisfaction
• Plan and monitor day to day production activity
• Plan and resource longer term production capacity and projects
• Assign day to day tasks of production team
• Measure production performance and maintain KPI’s
• Define and manage improvement projects
• Coach the production team in lean manufacturing principals
• Maintain control of stock and stores processes
• Ensure adherence to product specification
• Work with special projects department in order to level resources
Ideally the right person will have gain hands on experience working within a a fast moving injection moulding environment t. able to manage a team of both operators and skilled polymer processing staff . this will be an hands on role and will involve the introduction of NPIU into the production departments
Salary : Circa £35,000 depending on experience
