My client is an Autonmotive tier 1 business, they are looking to attract new skills and experience by recruiting a Project Quality Engineer to assist with new product design and process development. typical skills and experience required to complete the duties successfully include:
- Establish significant and critical characteristics with customers and suppliers.
- Generate and update Control Plans.
- Co-ordination and management of DVP testing, including correlation of results and presentation to customer.
- Driver of APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning Process) process with suppliers during project phase.
- Generate gauge / check fixture specification and agree with customer.
- Co-ordination and participation in new gauge / check fixture measurement system analysis including calculations (R&R studies).
- Support trials both on site and at toolmakers/ equipment manufacturers to provide required Quality advice and support.
- Statistical analysis of results from capability studies and produce reports.
- Liaison with Production Engineering and Programme Management during and following analysis to enable process development.
- Presentation of dimensional results to customer during build status events.
- Obtain fit and finish approval from customer.
- Co-ordinate obtaining colour and grain approval from customer.
- Review and approval of supplier PPAP package.
- Compilation of customer APQP files.
- Preparation of PPAP package in agreed format and make submissions to customer.
- Quality engineering of new products onto site.
- Knowledge of quality standards.
