Our client is a first Tier Automotive supplier who produce a variety of plastic components. The ideal candidate will have had exposure to the automotive OEM, Tier 1 or Tier 2 industries. Working with the Engineering Programme Manager you will be responsible for the procurement of measurement systems and gauge metrology systems. You will need an understanding of how the gauges interface on the car. You will need to capable of writing the required specifications understand how the part integrates with the vehicle. As Project / Tooling Engineer you will hold full responsibility for sourcing and buying the tool.

Exacting measurement points
Sourcing and buying the tools
Developing the gauge with supplier.
Review concept of the gauge with supplier.
Make and advise of any adjustments required when the gauge is launched.
Attend the Launch of the tool.
Sign up the transfer of the gauge to the project.
Carry out measurement studies and measurement systems analysis to tight tolerances.
Responsible for tracking, timing, costs and delivery
Liaise with other project members
