Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the PU Model Finisher will be hand finishing PU silicon moulds and would suit someone who probably has an engineering background of some sort, perhaps a mechanical or engineering apprenticeship and is comfortable with using small machine tools, reading drawings and using measuring equipment such as Verniers.
Ideally the right candidate will have a good hand-to-eye co-ordination, reliability, responsible attitude to work, good team worker. The candidate may have experience as a modelmaker or fettler, or have a craft or artistic background.It would be great if they were computer literate but this is not essential.
The hours will be 7am to 3pm (or 8am to 4pm), Monday to Friday – 37½ hour week.
There is sometimes Saturday morning overtime at time and a quarter.
Holidays are 4 weeks for the first two years and then 5 weeks plus bank holidays.
There is a contributory pension scheme available after completion of 3 months probation.
