Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Engineer will have over all responsibility for on site quality issues within this high volume automotive component manufacturing operation, and be employed in a production and customer facing quality engineering role;
• Assisting the manufacturing department through quality improvement activities
• Training others in both quality techniques, SPC and control plans
• Developing programmes for quality improvement activity within manufacturing
• Dealing with non conformities and production concerns
• Maintaining and implementing quality systems in accordance with TS16949
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement and liaising closely with production / customers to resolve production problems
• All quality documentation for PPAP, APQP, ISIR & R&R
You will also be customer focused and able to react quickly and professionally to problems and situations as they arise. The successful Quality Engineer will be an enthusiastic individual who has worked as a 1st tier supplier to the automotive industry, ideally within the plastics industry.
• Experienced in the application of the automotive standards, particularly TS16949 with global 8D process, PPAP, ISIR’s PFMEA’s etc

Salary : Circa £25,000 – £30,000 dependant on skills and ability
