My Client is a bespoke design house and manufacturer of leather apparel for a range of products including, Clothing, Shoes, Handbags, Wallets and Purses.
They are actively recruiting for a Raw Materials Technologist to join an already successful Quality team. With combined knowledge and experience of the leather industry and the application of leather into accessories you will through experience and education be competent in the carrying out inspections internationally to ensure that the raw materials used within the processes are the correct technical and design standards. You will also liaise with finisihed goods suppliers to resolve raw material issues and respond to problems that may occur in the market place. Other duties will include the carrying out of due diligence testing on production leathers and hardware
The successful Raw materials Technologist will be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge and understanding of hardware and components such as buckles, tags, zippers buttons and rivets, be experienced within the fashion industry and have a technical background and excellent colour matching skills, basic Italian would be beneficial but is not essential. Overseas travel forms an integral part to the successful delivery of the role.
