The Design / Project Engineer will be responsible for taking ownership of projects through the design process, from initial concept (customer enquiry) to production and potentially installation. The Design / Project Engineer will be required to design products and components (new and existing) capable of satisfying specifications (process, materials, purpose etc). The Design / Project Engineer will also be required to give technical advice based on product / customer requirements.
The Design / Project Engineer will be a degree qualified (or equivalent) CAD / Project Design Engineer with practical experience of designing products / components for a multitude of applications. In addition you will have proven skills in designing capital equipment / furnaces for use in Thermal Processing or Industrial Heat Transfer. Knowledge of 3D CAD (ideally Solidworks) is essential, along with process knowledge (CNC Machining, Fabrication, Presswork, Assembly etc) and Stress / Engineering calculations. You will also be an effective communicator and able to work on your own initiative.
Salary : Circa £35,000 depending on skills and ability
