Our Client is a world leader in the design, development and manufacturer of both on and off highway powertrain driven booms, lift systems, telehandlers and stockpickers. They are seeking to add to their already successful team an experienced Structural Analysis Engineer.
The ideal candidate will possess an ability to drive the FEA support for both current and new product, right through from specification and concept up to sign-off, through prototyping and production. You will guide and direct test plans and results whilst being aware of vehicle control, operation, function and durability risks and addressing these as necessary; using the correct tools for engineering change such as DFMEA, FMEA, and 8D root cause analysis.
As the above suggests we require an excellent communicator with exceptional analytical skills whom will be requested to consult a variety of internal teams, external suppliers and customers.
You will be acutely aware of the challenges of mechanical design with a view to production, commonisation and practicality and use a structured approach to achieve low cost, and reliability.
Ideally possessing 5 years+ related work experience (within powertrain) combined with an in depth knowledge of an analysis software package such as Adams or Nastran.
The successful candidate can expect to receive a salary Upto £45k Dep on exp, 9-10% Annual Bonus, Health care, Pension Option, 25 Days Holiday
