Quality Engineer / Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Engineer / Manager to join a successful manufacturing business based in the Hereford region.

 

To be successful in your application as a Quality Engineer / Manager within this business you should be able to demonstrate the ability to carry out most, if not all of the following key skills:

 

  • Ability to work confidently, and proactively whilst being the key point of contact for Quality
  • Provide guidance and leadership relating to all areas of Quality
  • Oversee and manage all Quality procedures, processes, practices and controls
  • Ensure Investigation of product issues and successful implementation of corrective/preventive actions
  • Ensure 8D investigations in to any customer complaints are carried out and addressed urgently
  • Issue 8D reports to customers within agreed deadlines
  • Offer a proactive approach to rectifying any quality issues
  • Review and approval of technical documents
  • Ensure quality and regulatory reports are produced accurately and delivered within agreed timelines
  • Raise supplier non conformities
  • Create control plans and flow charts for new products
  • Carry out Internal Audits
  • Ensuring product compliance with ISO9001:2015, AS9100, TS/IATF16949, OHSAS18001 and ISO14001
  • Updating procedures and machine settings
  • Reporting monthly to the Management team regarding KPIs, pending actions etc. As the Successful Quality Engineer / Manager within this organisation your key duties will include, but not be limited to:
  •  
  • Good understanding of working within an ISO9001:2015 working environment
  • Proven experience of managing your own workload and/or managing a Quality team
  • Excellent problem solving ability (8D, 5Y etc.)
  • Experience of working in a fast paced manufacturing facility within Quality
  • Good understanding of Rubber / Plastics Manufacturing is preferable

The salary for the successful Quality Engineer / Quality Manager will be negotiable, but competitive dependent on skill and ability.
